For teenagers, who are in a critical developmental stage marked by significant physical, emotional, and cognitive changes, insomnia can severely impact their
overall well-being. The demands of schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and social pressures can exacerbate sleep disturbances, creating a troubling cycle that affects their ability to function during the day.
The challenges posed by insomnia in teenagers extend beyond mere fatigue. Sleep deprivation can lead to a range of cognitive impairments, such as decreased attention, poor decision-making, and impaired memory retention. Furthermore, the emotional consequences of insomnia can include increased irritability, anxiety, and even depressive symptoms.
